Cancellations

Applies to all charter boats.

You may cancel up to 2 weeks before your scheduled trip. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of your trip date are responsible for the full trip cost. Check with your group before booking. No exceptions.

Payments

Visa and Mastercard accepted. No checks in store.
Checks accepted for advance reservations only — mail to the address below before arriving in North Carolina.
Cash pricing is available. Debit cards are not considered cash payments.
Advance reservations: credit card holds your trip. You are not charged until arrival if paying cash. You must stop in to one of our locations the same day you arrive to pay in full and get your directions.
If you choose to pay by credit card in advance, the charge cannot be reversed to pay cash later.
Payments are not accepted at the boats.
Return check fee: $35.

General Trip Policy

All charter boats depart from OBX Marina in Wanchese, NC.
Fish cleaning service is provided by the marina.
All legal fish are yours to keep.
Trips run rain or shine. Only the captain can cancel a trip.
If the captain cancels, you may rebook for another available day or receive a full refund.
If you choose not to go and the captain has not cancelled, no refund is issued.
Early returns are not refunded. You paid for your time slot.
No-shows are not refunded.
No drugs.
Fishing does not guarantee catching fish. Refunds are not issued for trips with no catch.
Alcohol is welcome. No glass containers for safety reasons.
Please arrive no later than 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Head Boat & Make-Up Trip Reservations

Once you reserve a number of spots, you are responsible for all reserved spots — regardless of how many people show up. Removing people after the reservation is made affects other anglers and the economics of the trip. No exceptions. Check with your group on time, date, and headcount before booking.

Private Charters (42' and Other 6-Person Boats)

6 people is the maximum on private charter boats, including children. This is a Coast Guard regulation. The price is for the full boat regardless of party size.

Be on time. Late arrivals do not receive extra time. You depart when you arrive and return at your scheduled time. Everything fishing-related is included. You bring food and drinks.
