Rather join a shared trip? The Miss Jill Louise also runs public per-person trips — the most affordable way to get on the water on the OBX. Wheelchair accessible, air conditioned, and the only head boat certified to fish up to 100 miles offshore out of Wanchese. $85 per person cash, $90 credit card.

Public Trip vs. Private Trip

On a public trip, you share the boat with other anglers — per-person pricing makes it the most affordable option on the water, and a great choice for smaller groups or solo anglers. The captain fishes the inlet and nearshore bottom.

On a private trip, it's only your group. The captain can mix techniques — trolling, bottom fishing, deep offshore runs — because the only people to please are yours. If you have 6 or more people, a private trip is almost always worth the difference.

Booze Cruises, Sightseeing & Group Events

Not every trip has to be about fishing. The Miss Jill Louise is available for booze cruises, sightseeing tours, ash ceremonies, and private group events of all kinds. We can take up to 30 people for non-fishing charters — out on the water, away from the crowds, on your terms.
